PUBLIC ACCESS TO LIST OF F4E EIDI REGISTERED COMPANIES DISCONTINUED

In the context of implementing its industrial policy, the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy (Fusion for Energy, F4E) has decided to discontinue public access to the list of registered companies in F4E's European Industry Database for ITER (F4E EIDI), maintaining the database exclusively for F4E internal use.

Companies currently included in the database will be maintained and new companies are invited to register (i.e., the registration procedure is not modified, only the acceptance to be in the public list will be automatically set to "no" when the registration is validated).

The database allows companies to register themselves, adding a number of "Activity Codes" defining their areas of specialty. Registering companies may also select "European Procurement Packages" for which early information about contract notices and calls-for-tender will be provided. Registering companies have firstly to request a registration account. Once such a request has been processed an e-mail will be sent detailing how the company can complete their registration.

Even if F4E's EIDI is no longer publicly available the Applying Persons of the registered companies can ask F4E to provide information about Companies that expressed interest in specific areas of specialty or about specific EU procurement packages. Any request for information shall be sent to eidi@f4e.europa.eu by quoting the EIDI registration number. The F4E Contracts and Procurement Department will respond to these requests.

F4E EIDI is a key tool that continues to be an important element for the development of F4E's industrial policy and constitutes the option of choice for expressing the interest and availability of Companies in those areas of industrial competence relevant for the implementation of the F4E's international tasks related to the construction of the ITER project.

Thus, Fusion for Energy strongly recommends that companies interested in the EU procurement contracts for the ITER Project, to register in the F4E EIDI database. It is important to note however that registration in F4E EIDI is not a prerequisite and does not trigger any special right to be invited to forthcoming calls for expression of interest or calls-for-tender issued by F4E.
